Privacy Policy
Effective June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GetVisaPlan(“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the GetVisaPlanwebsite and the business-plan document service offered through it (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. We are not a law firm and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to USCIS, the U.S. Department of State, or any government agency. We do not request immigration documents and collect only the information you choose to provide to prepare your business plan.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information we collect through the GetVisaPlan website and the document service offered through it. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to or that process payments on our behalf, which are governed by their own privacy policies. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information. Your email address, which you provide when you request a sample plan, join a waitlist, or place an order.
- Business and applicant details. The information you submit on our intake form so we can prepare your plan, which may include your name, treaty country, business name, business type, location, planned investment amount, ownership percentage, planned number of employees, and a description of the business. You choose what to provide; we do not request immigration documents.
- Payment information. When you pay, our payment processor collects your payment details directly. We receive a confirmation of your purchase (such as your email, the amount, the currency, and a transaction reference) but we never receive or store your full card number.
- Usage analytics. First-party telemetry stored in our own database, such as page views, which offers you click, and a randomly generated session identifier we use to understand how the Service is used. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- prepare and deliver the business-plan document you order, from the inputs you provide;
- process your payment and send order confirmations and the next steps to complete your intake;
- respond to your requests, including sample-plan and refund requests, and provide support;
- send service-related and transactional emails about your order;
- operate, maintain, measure, and improve the Service using aggregate, first-party usage analytics;
- protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security risks, and comply with applicable law.
4. Cookies & tracking
We keep a randomly generated session identifier in your browser’s session storage so we can measure first-party usage of the Service. We do not use this for cross-site tracking or advertising, and we do not sell it. Our payment processor may set its own cookies during checkout, governed by its privacy policy. You can clear your browser storage at any time; doing so does not affect any order you have already placed.
5. Third-party services & sub-processors
We use a small set of trusted service providers to operate the Service. They process information only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service. Our sub-processors are:
- Stripe: payment processing and checkout.
- Resend: transactional and order-related email delivery.
- Convex: database and backend that stores leads, orders, intake details, and usage telemetry.
- Vercel: website hosting and content delivery.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the sub-processors listed above so they can provide their service to us, and where required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy). We do not share your business or applicant details with any government agency, and we do not communicate with USCIS or any government agency on your behalf.
7. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the Service, prepare and deliver your document, meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of certain processing. Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of for sales. To exercise any of these rights, or to opt out of follow-up emails, email us at support@getvisaplan.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit and access controls, and we rely on reputable sub-processors for payments and storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us sensitive documents we do not ask for.
10. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
We operate in the United States, and the information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
